Being a Service Officer is an important job for any member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. It is his or her duty to assist the members with claims. These claims can consist of assistance with health benefits, insurance needs, burial benefits, pension concerns and many other important duties pertaining to helping veterans.
The most important benefit, of course, is the Department of Veterans Affair medical facilities that handle all clinics and hospitals. Every veteran that has served in the Armed Forces is eligible to sign up for benefits – not just VFW members. The more people who sign up for VA benefits the better the system and the more money Congress allocates to the health system. Whether you are rich or poor, disabled or working it is to the benefit of every veteran for everyone to sign up for the VA. In most cases you can sign-up locally at a nearby clinic or at the West Palm Beach VA Hospital. You can contact us on our contact page here.
